Following the failure of the Bradford and Leeds Leagues to arrange a pre-season friendly between the leagues in recent years our club are in talks with Pudsey to play a pre-season friendly at some point in August. After a hectic and eventful season a number of the Undercliffe players are taking part in the six round individual summer tournament - The Bob Burns. This is being held at Claytons venue this year and results will follow shortly.

Half way through the season and things are really starting to hot up for the Undercliffe teams. In the league Undercliffe A are joint top on 10pts. However, they are closely followed by Undercliffe A on 9pts (3rd place) and Undercliffe Knights on 8pts (joint 4th). In the second division the C team need a better second half of the season if they are to avoid the drop. The Crusaders have also struggled to be in contention for a promotion place and look long shots to make the top two spots. In the individual events over Christmas the Knights Matthew Webb brought home Undercliffes first piece of silver wear. He won the event with 5 1/2 points from 6 after drawing with Phil Watson. Und A 4 Brad 152 2, Und Knights 5 Polish 1, Und B 4.5 Ilkley A 1.5, Und C 2 Ilkley B 4, Und Crusaders 2.5 Bradford Pegasus 3.5. Great results for all three of the first division teams as the A team stop Bradfords winning run and the B team manage to close the gap by beating Ilkley. The Knights gave their survival hopes a boost by whooping Polish who only had five men. Hard luck for Und C and Und Crusaders who both played against top quality opposition.

Knights 2 Und A 4, Und B 2.5 Polish 3.5, Und C 3.5 Brad Destroyers 1.5, Crusaders 3.5 Keighley 2.5. Well done top Und A on defeating the Und Knights in a closely fought match. The C team also did well to win with four men away at Bradford. Result of the night though has to go to the Und Crusaders in the third division who beat top of the league Keighly with only five men.
